The idea that became Royal Rides began about 20 years ago when our founder and chief inventive whiz, John Swenson, designed a series of three-wheeled go karts. The off-road model worked so well that John created 3 little cars to pull behind it and called it the Chelsea Train, in a parade and were noticed by a fellow in the amusement rental business who inquired whether John would be interested in booking the train for birthday parties. The little train was such a hit that John created a second train and remained in the amusement rental business for over 5 years.
During this time, John saw a lot of amusement rides and became interested in developing and manufacturing fiberglass rides. He intended that these rides would be designed for use by amusement rental companies doing birthday parties, company picnics, fairs, carnivals, etc. The rides needed to be attractive, durable, and easy to transport and set up. Thus, the Royal Express was born. Although the train that we manufacture today looks essentially like the original Royal Express, John has continued over the years to modify and improve the design while striving to keep the trackless train affordable for the amusement rental business entrepreneur.
The Royal Express Trackless Train, is the amusement business industry standard for trackless trains and has been in continuous production for 15 years. The Royal Ranger Fire Truck, introduced in 1995, has been entertaining both adults and children alike for 10 years. Our commitment to quality products and low prices offer our customer the best value in amusement rides.
While the party rental/amusement rental businesses continue to be our most enduring customers, both the Royal Express trackless train and its companion, the Royal Ranger fire truck, have also been purchased for use by amusement parks, campgrounds, resorts, parks, family fun, and recreation centers, tool/equipment rental companies, water parks, zoos, Christmas tree farms, and pumpkin/corn maze farms/petting zoos, fire departments, cities, and civic organizations, military bases, baseball teams, malls, theatres, sports, complexes, fund raising organizations, circuses, aquariums, restaurants, catering services, golf and country clubs, ski resorts, motels and inns, churches, schools, museums, nursery homes, dude ranches and day camps.
